Wood Intentions

These images have been produced through a technique called wood intaglio. The lines are incised into a wooden surface filled with ink and printed much like an etching. They all incorporate another technique known as collograph, which is basicly gluing materials onto the plate, inking them and printing intaglio. The wonder of printmaking is the ability to take an image and change it's context and therefore it's meaning, an intriguing exploration between perception and representation.
